Funded Ph.D. Position(s) at Rochester Institute of Technology

I am looking for highly-motivated Ph.D. students to start in Fall 2022 in big data and machine learning areas, including database systems, data mining, recommendation systems, scalable machine learning systems, and security/privacy for AI algorithms. Specifically, we target to build secure and scalable systems/algorithms for machine learning researchers and practitioners.
Full financial support is expected to be in the form of teaching/research assistantships to cover the tuition and living expenses.

Desired qualifications:
- A BS or preferably an MS in CS, EE, or related areas.
- Self-motivated.
- Solid mathematical background.
- Solid coding skill. OI/ACM-ICPC experiences will be a big plus.
- Experience/interest in machine learning systems/big data problems
- Desire to publish in top CS venues.
