Biography

Xumin Liu is an Associate Professor in the department of computer science at the Rochester Institute of Technology. She received the PhD degree in Computer Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in 2009. Her research interests include service computing, business process management and workflow mining, data management, data mining, machine learning, social computing, and mobile computing. Her research has been published in major journals and conferences, such as International Journal on Very Large Data Bases (VLDB Journal), IEEE Transactions on Service Computing (TSC), IEEE International Conference on Web Services (ICWS), and International Conference on Service Oriented Computing (ICSOC). She serves on the editorial board or as a reviewer for various international journals, such as ACM Transactions on Information Systems (TOIS), ACM Transactions on the Web (TWEB), IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering (TKDE), IEEE Transactions on Service Computing (TSC), etc. She also frequently serves as a program committee member for various top-ranked international conferences in her research field.
