First Paper Examining Math Concept Search in a General-Purpose Search Engine to Appear at JCDL 2019

Congratulations to PhD student Behrooz Mansouri, whose paper "Toward Math-Enabled Digital Libraries: Characterizing Searches for Mathematical Concepts" has been accepted for publication at the ACM/IEEE Joint Conference on Digital Libraries ( JCDL 2019), which will be held at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.  The paper presents the first search log analysis for math searching behavior in a general-purpose search engine (Parsijoo, from Iran). Richard Zanibbi (RIT) and Douglas W. Oard (Univ. Maryland, College Park) are Behrooz's co-advisors and co-authors on the paper.
