CS@RIT help middle school students make "Career Connections"

On October 4, 2016, 5th and 6th graders at the Churchville-Chili Middle School received some hands-on experience with technology and computer science.

CS faculty Jim Heliotis, Sean Strout, and Zack Butler hosted the showcase as part of the CS@RIT K-12 outreach efforts.  The showcase introduced students to robotics, electronics, and computer programming.

The activity was called "Career Connections".  The goal of the program is to get students interested in careers in technology.  Students alternated in groups between working on Lego Mindstorm robots, Snap Circuits, Little Bits, and Hour of Code.
