Dr. Ifeoma Nwogu
Ifeoma's current research interests are in computer vision for analyzing humans behaviors. Prior to joining RIT, she served as Research Scientist at the University at Buffalo, SUNY (UB) at the Center for Unified Biometrics and Sensors (CUBS) and the Center of Excellence for Document Analysis and Recognition (CEDAR). Prior to that, Ifeoma was a post-doctoral Scholar from 2009-2011 at the University of Rochester Computer Science department. Till recently, she was a co-Investigator on two NSF awards both related to studying novel methods for biometrics, and is currently co-Investigating an award on developing computational models for social scientists. Nwogu has published over 30 refereed articles in journals and conference proceedings and co-authored 4 book chapters in these research areas. She has and continues to serve as a program committee member for several conferences and workshops including CVPR, ICCV, ICPR, AAAI. She is a member of the IEEE. Ifeoma obtained her Ph.D degree in Computer Science and Engineering from UB in 2009, her Master's degree in Computing and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania (Penn) in 1995, and her Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Lagos, Nigeria with second-class upper honors (magna cum laude).
